Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how CERTIDOX LLC uses cookies and related browser-storage technologies on its public informational website at certidox.com (the "Website"), including how you can accept or reject optional analytics.
1. Scope and definitions
This Cookie Policy covers only the informational Website at certidox.com. It does not cover the customer platform at certify.certidox.com, customer accounts, mobile applications, or other Certidox products and services. Those may use different technologies and have separate notices.
A cookie is a small file that a website can place in your browser to remember information between visits. Local storage is a related browser feature that can store a preference without creating a cookie. Both are covered here because the Website uses local storage to remember your analytics choice.
Our approach: Optional Google Analytics is disabled by default. Google Tag Manager is configured to load for analytics only after you select Accept analytics or return with an unexpired acceptance previously stored in your browser. You can reject analytics and continue using the Website.
2. Cookies and storage used on the Website
The table below describes the browser-storage mechanisms identified in the Website's current implementation and the standard cookies that may be set when Google Analytics 4 is enabled. Google Analytics cookie names and lifetimes depend on its actual configuration and your browser's restrictions.
| Name or technology | Provider and purpose | When used | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
certidox_analytics_consent_v1Local storage, not a cookie |
Certidox. Stores one JSON preference record: choice (accepted or declined) and savedAt (the date and time of the choice). |
When you make an analytics choice. This storage supports remembering your preference and does not itself measure Website traffic. | Up to six months from your choice, unless you change it or clear Website storage earlier. We then request a new choice. |

Google Analytics 4. Distinguishes website visitors for audience measurement. | May be set only when Google Analytics is activated after your acceptance. | Google's standard default is 2 years. The actual period can be shorter because of browser rules or configuration. |

Google Analytics 4. Maintains the state of a visit. The name's suffix varies with the Analytics property. | May be set only when Google Analytics is activated after your acceptance. | Google's standard default is 2 years. The actual period can be shorter because of browser rules or configuration. |
Google Tag Manager is the software used to manage analytics tags. It is not itself the name of an additional cookie. The Website's own source code does not implement account-login, shopping-cart, or advertising-preference cookies.
The Website is hosted by OVH US, LLC. Hosting and security providers may process standard technical requests or use technologies necessary to deliver or protect the Website. Any additional provider-set cookies must be assessed against the deployed infrastructure and, where relevant, described in an updated notice.
3. How Google Analytics works on this Website
If you accept analytics, the Website loads its Google Tag Manager container (GTM-TMF3HT4B), which is intended to run Google Analytics 4. When enabled, Analytics can collect information about the pages you visit, your interactions with the Website, your browser and device, approximate location based on technical signals, and online identifiers associated with its cookies.
Before you accept, the Website's code sets analytics_storage to denied and does not load the Tag Manager container for analytics. The code also keeps Google's advertising-related consent settings, including ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization, set to denied.
We use optional analytics to understand Website traffic and improve content and navigation. We do not use the Website to provide personalized advertising. Google's own handling of information is described in Google's Privacy Policy. Google also publishes information about Google Analytics 4 cookies.
4. How to accept, reject, or change your choice
- On your first visit: Choose Accept analytics or Reject analytics when the Website displays its analytics preference notice.
- To change or withdraw your choice later: Select Cookie settings in the footer of any Website page and choose your new preference.
- When your choice expires: The Website requests a fresh choice after up to six months. Until you accept again, optional analytics remain disabled.
- To remove stored information: You may delete the Website's cookies and local storage through your browser's privacy or site-data settings.
If you reject analytics before the analytics container has been loaded, the Website does not load it. If you withdraw consent after previously accepting, the Website stops further analytics activity and consent-dependent cookie reading or writing. Where needed, it reloads the page to prevent previously loaded analytics scripts from continuing to operate. Related first-party analytics cookies are removed where technically under our control.
Withdrawal does not retroactively erase analytics data lawfully collected while consent was in effect. You can clear any remaining cookies through your browser's settings or contact us to exercise an applicable privacy right. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent you from browsing the informational Website.
5. Third-party links and their cookies
The Website contains links to external websites, including Calendly for booking demonstrations, as well as GitHub, LinkedIn, app stores, and other resources. The current Website links to Calendly rather than embedding its booking interface.
Merely displaying a link does not mean Certidox has placed the linked site's cookies in your browser. If you click an external link, the destination website may use cookies or other technologies according to its own policies. For scheduling, see Calendly's Privacy Notice.
6. Personal information and privacy rights
Information collected through optional analytics may qualify as personal information under applicable laws. Our Privacy Policy explains the categories of information involved in operating the Website, the purposes of processing, sharing, retention, international transfers, and your rights.
You can contact us about a privacy request at info@certidox.com. You can also withdraw your analytics choice through the Website's Cookie settings control as described above.
7. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Policy if the Website adds, removes, or changes cookies, analytics tags, browser-storage mechanisms, or service providers. The "Last updated" date will indicate the current version. If a change requires new consent, we will ask for it before enabling the relevant nonessential technology.
