Terms of Use
Last updated: October 24, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") describe the conditions for accessing and using the public informational website operated by CERTIDOX LLC at certidox.com (the "Website"). Please read them before using the Website.
1. Scope of these Terms
The Website provides general information about Certidox, its business, technology, products, publications, and contact opportunities. These Terms apply only to the public informational Website and its pages that link to them.
These Terms do not govern the use or purchase of Certidox products or services. In particular, they do not govern the customer platform at certify.certidox.com, customer accounts, mobile applications, software, APIs, or paid offerings. Separate terms, order forms, licenses, or agreements apply where relevant.
Browsing the Website, requesting information, or booking a demonstration does not, by itself, create a contract for any Certidox product or service. If you disagree with these Website Terms, please discontinue use of the Website.
2. Website information and illustrative materials
We seek to provide accurate and current information, but Website content may be incomplete, become outdated, or change without notice. Technical descriptions, availability statements, examples, and other general materials do not constitute a service-level commitment or an offer to supply products on particular terms. Any binding product specifications or commitments are established by the applicable written agreement.
Descriptions of Certidox document and email verification refer to checking information against the corresponding Certidox certification record. Depending on the record and verification method, this can enable a verifier to examine the identified certifying issuer, the certified content, its certification date, and its current status. A matching result does not, by itself, establish that statements in the record are true, that a person had authority to sign or act, that the document is legally effective, or that an email was delivered or read. Recipients should examine the entire document or certified email record and its current status before relying on it.
Some Website content includes hypothetical scenarios, sample documents, simulated proceedings, mock hearings, or illustrative outcomes. Unless expressly identified otherwise, these materials are educational demonstrations and should not be understood as accounts of actual litigation, judicial findings, client engagements, or legal results.
Website content is not legal, investment, financial, accounting, or other professional advice. You should obtain qualified advice where the circumstances require it. Nothing in these Terms excuses false or misleading representations or limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
3. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the Website's original text, graphics, photographs, layout, designs, audiovisual materials, and other content are owned by CERTIDOX LLC or used with permission and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may view, download, and print individual Website pages for your own informational, educational, or internal business evaluation purposes, provided you do not materially alter them or remove ownership notices. Other reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use requires prior written permission unless permitted by applicable law.
"Certidox," its logos, and related marks may not be used to suggest endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation without permission. References or links to open-source software do not change the licenses governing those components; the applicable open-source licenses continue to control.
4. Permitted and prohibited use
You may access the Website for lawful informational purposes. You must not:
- interfere with its operation or compromise, probe, or circumvent its security without authorization;
- introduce malware or other harmful code, or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data;
- use automated requests, scraping, or harvesting in a manner that materially burdens the Website or circumvents applicable access controls;
- misrepresent the source of Website materials or impersonate Certidox or its representatives; or
- use the Website in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
We may take reasonable technical or legal measures to protect the Website and respond to suspected misuse.
5. Links to third-party websites
The Website may link to third-party websites, publications, software repositories, social networks, application stores, or other resources. Links are provided for convenience or reference and do not, by themselves, constitute an endorsement. We do not control third-party content, availability, terms, or privacy practices. Please review the applicable third-party terms before using those resources.
6. Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Policy describes how personal information is handled in connection with the Website, including business correspondence, demonstration bookings, and optional analytics. Our Cookie Policy explains the Website's cookies and browser-storage technologies, and how you can accept, reject, or withdraw consent to optional analytics.
These Terms do not constitute consent to nonessential cookies or replace any consent, notice, or other privacy rights required by applicable law.
7. Website availability and disclaimers
We may modify, correct, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website, including its content and features. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that the Website will always be free from technical errors or security threats.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE WEBSITE IS MADE AVAILABLE "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES CONCERNING ITS AVAILABILITY, PERFORMANCE, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. This clause concerns the informational Website only; it does not replace express commitments in any separate Certidox customer agreement.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CERTIDOX LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND REPRESENTATIVES ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE INFORMATIONAL WEBSITE, ITS UNAVAILABILITY, OR RELIANCE ON ITS GENERAL CONTENT.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional wrongdoing, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in this section affects rights or remedies under an applicable separate agreement for Certidox products or services.
9. Governing law and disputes
To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes concerning these Terms or the informational Website will be brought before the state or federal courts having jurisdiction in Cook County, Illinois, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms deprives consumers of non-waivable protections under the laws of their place of residence, including applicable rules about jurisdiction. If you have a concern about the Website, you may first contact us using the details below.
10. Changes and general provisions
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Website or applicable requirements. The "Last updated" date will identify the current version. Any changes apply prospectively, subject to notice or consent requirements imposed by law.
If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Our failure to enforce a provision does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it later. The English version controls in the event of a discrepancy with a translation, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
11. Company and contact information
The Website is operated by CERTIDOX LLC, an Illinois limited liability company organized on October 13, 2026, under Illinois Secretary of State file number 18824159.
